Privacy & Confidentiality
Introduction
Thank you for agreeing to participate in our user research project! This interview (“Interview”) is performed by uintent GmbH, Dammtorwall 7a, 20354 Hamburg, Germany (respectively “uintent” or “us” or “we”.) Because your experience with the subject matter and your feedback is valuable to us, we’ll be recording the Interview. Please read the terms and conditions of this consent form (“Consent Form”) below and, if you agree, sign and date at the end where indicated.Your participation
You understand and agree to your Interview being recorded, stored, and used by uintent and their client. You agree that you’re over eighteen (18) years of age, and competent to contract in your own name. Your participation is voluntary and you can leave at any time. Additionally, we may end the Interview at any time. Even if that happens, you’ll still receive the compensation described below. You agree that your participation in the Interview doesn’t in any way conflict with any existing legal commitment on your part.Your Feedback
You understand that uintent and our client will have unrestricted use and ownership of your statements, insights, suggestions, feedback, ideas, or any other information disclosed during the course of the Interview (“Feedback”) with respect to current or proposed content, features, marks or services. Our client will have no further obligation to you for any use of the Feedback, which is at their sole and absolute discretion.Your Personal Data
Prior to the interview, we collected certain personal data about you for recruiting purposes, such as your name, contact information, age, gender (“Personal Data”). During the interview, we’ll also collect pieces of Personal Data, including your name and picture, as well as notes, a transcript, and a recording of the Interview. uintent processes your Personal Data exclusively for (market) research purposes and for the organization and implementation of the above-mentioned study. We only need your name and phone/email for the organization of the study, to contact you for study participation and for billing the recruiter. The processing of the study results is done under a pseudonym. The records serve us for documentation and support of the evaluation, as well as proof to our client. Your data will neither be used for advertising purposes nor for automatic decision making (profiling). We will also not pass on your data to third parties who are not involved in the study. In addition, should uintent’s client choose, any Feedback you share may be used in public presentations, media, research papers, and/or any other type of public dissemination, but with the strict prohibition that it doesn’t identify you.Legal Basis
The legal basis for the processing of personal data is your consent (according to Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR).Data recipients
Data recipients are our clients. Furthermore, under certain circumstances, data may be transferred to processors (e.g. service providers for translations or transcripts). Your participation will be reported to the recruiter for the payment of the allowance. A transfer of personal data outside the European Economic Area (EEA) will only take place if an adequate level of data protection has been confirmed to the third country by the EU Commission or if other adequate data protection guarantees are provided by the recipient (e.g. EU standard contractual clauses / privacy shield, available on request). Recipients of the interview recordings commit themselves to uintent to use the recordings only for research purposes and only in the sense of the research goal, as well as not to pass on or present the recordings to third parties and to refrain from any attempt at de-anonymization.Duration of storage
If your personal data is no longer required for the above-mentioned purposes, it will be regularly deleted, unless its retention is still necessary to fulfill contractual or legal obligations. We will delete your name and contact details directly after the study as soon as it is no longer needed for billing purposes. We delete the recordings after twelve months at the latest. If a longer storage period is required, we will make you unrecognizable. The recipients of the recording undertake to uintent to delete it before the expiry of this period.Person responsible for data collection
