Privacy policy and consent

Introduction

Thank you very much for participating in this study. Please read the following privacy policy carefully and confirm by entering your name at the end.
We would like to conduct a telephone or online interview with you. In this interview, we would like to ask you questions about your opinion and experiences, and if necessary, ask you to work on some usage scenarios with the test object. We will inform you about the exact technical procedure before the interview begins. Depending on the content of the study, the interview will take place via telephone or webcam. In order to see the test material, you may be able to dial into our test computer.
For analysis, we record all actions on the test computer as well as the conversation. However, con-tents from your own computer will under no circumstances be transmitted or recorded. There may be other observers on the line during the interviews.

Which data we process

In the course of this study we process the following personal data of you:

  • Your name and contact details (usually telephone number and / or email address)
  • The information you provide when you are invited to take part in the study („recruitment“), such as your age, profession and the products or services you use.
  • All information and comments you provide during the interview and your interaction with the test subject.
  • The recording of the interview (Sound only for telephone interviews. Image and sound in computer-assisted interviews with webcam. Your face as well as your interaction with the test object is recorded).
  • For studies with a medical background, this also includes health data ( = data of „special categories“ according to Art 9 (1) GDPR).

Purpose of the data processing

uintent processes your personal data exclusively for (market) research purposes and for the organization and implementation of the above-mentioned study.
We only need your name and phone/email for the organization of the study, to contact you for study participation and for billing the recruiter. The processing of the study results is done under a pseudonym.
The records serve us for documentation and support of the evaluation, as well as proof to our client.
Your data will neither be used for advertising purposes nor for automatic decision making (profiling). We will also not pass on your data to third parties who are not involved in the study.

Legal basis

The legal basis for the processing of personal data is your consent (according to Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR). If special categories of personal data (e.g. health data) are involved, we also process the personal data collected from you on the basis of your consent in accordance with Art. 9 Para. 2 lit. a GDPR.

Data recipients

Data recipients are our clients, or the manufacturers or providers of the tested products and services, as well as external employees of uintent. Furthermore, under certain circumstances, data may be transferred to processors (e.g. service providers for translations or transcripts). Your participation will be reported to the recruiter for the payment of the allowance.
A transfer of personal data outside the European Economic Area (EEA) will only take place if an adequate level of data protection has been confirmed to the third country by the EU Commission or if other adequate data protection guarantees are provided by the recipient (e.g. EU standard contractual clauses / privacy shield, available on request).
Recipients of the interview recordings commit themselves to uintent to use the recordings only for research purposes and only in the sense of the research goal, as well as not to pass on or present the recordings to third parties and to refrain from any attempt at de-anonymization.

Duration of storage

If your personal data is no longer required for the above-mentioned purposes, it will be regularly de-leted, unless its retention is still necessary to fulfil contractual or legal obligations.
We will delete your name and contact details directly after the study as soon as it is no longer needed for billing purposes.
We delete the recordings after twelve months at the latest. If a longer storage period is required, we will make you unrecognizable. The recipients of the recording undertake to uintent to delete it before the expiry of this period.
